Datumguard VR ensures rapid recovery in the event of an outage or disaster by virtualizing your production server  in Datumguard's secure, remote datacenter. 

Active Recovery Mode:  Eliminating hardware investment and compatibility issues for the recovery at Datumguard's datacenter, Datumguard VR maintains an image of your entire server, including operating system and applications, in an active virtual environment.  Testable at will, the active virtualized image can be updated via Internet whenever necessary with patches, upgrades, etc.  In the event of a disaster or outage, your backup data can be recovered to the virtualized environment at Gig-E speed and users can be re-routed to continue work as usual - with minimal downtime.

Dormant Recovery Mode:  To reduce costs, Datumguard can capture an image of your production server and keep it dormant in our virtual recovery environment.  At the time of declaration, the virtual environment is booted and updated before recovery begins.

Faster Recovery:  Datumguard's active, virtualized recovery environment offers all the advantages of warm servers - saving you a significant step in the recovery process.  Failover to your active, virtual recovery servers and re-route users to the remote virtual environment while your primary site is rebuilt.
